Artwork & Color Guidelines
Artwork & Color Guidelines
To ensure your custom transfers are produced with the highest level of detail and color accuracy, all files submitted to We Make All That must meet our industrial production standards. Following these guidelines allows our high-grade commercial printers to deliver the "bankable" quality your brand deserves.
1. Required Color Profile: sRGB
All artwork must be designed and saved using the sRGB color profile.
-
Why sRGB? Our high-capacity production line is precision-calibrated to the sRGB spectrum. Submitting files in CMYK or other profiles can cause significant color shifts, especially in vibrant neons and deep blues.
-
Pro Tip: Ensure your design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) is set to sRGB before you begin your layout to guarantee the most accurate "What You See Is What You Get" result.
2. Resolution & File Format
-
Format: Please submit all files as Transparent PNGs.
-
Resolution: All images must be 300 DPI at the final print size.
-
Avoid Low Resolution: Upscaling a low-resolution (72 DPI) image to 300 DPI will still result in a blurry or pixelated print. Our commercial equipment captures every detail—including the flaws in low-quality files.
3. Transparency & Linework
-
Transparent Backgrounds: Ensure your files have no background colors or "hidden" white boxes. Our printers will print exactly what is in the file.
-
Minimum Line Thickness: For the best durability and "stretch-test" results, ensure all fine lines and small text are at least 2 points (0.02") thick. Lines thinner than this may not have enough adhesive backing to bond permanently to the garment.
4. Technical Disclaimer
While we utilize the most advanced high-grade commercial printing technology available, We Make All That is not responsible for prints resulting from low-resolution artwork or incorrect color profiles. By submitting your order, you acknowledge that your files meet these technical requirements.
Important Disclaimer for Canva Users
While we welcome designs created in Canva, please be aware that Canva’s default "sRGB" profile uses a web-standard coding that can sometimes differ from industrial print-grade sRGB standards. To ensure your colors remain vibrant and accurate on our high-grade commercial line, please follow these export steps:
-
Export as "PDF Print": When finishing your design, select File > Download > PDF Print.
-
Flatten PDF: Always check the "Flatten PDF" box. This ensures your layers and transparencies don't "shift" during our high-speed RIP processing.
-
Color Profile Selection: If you have Canva Pro, manually select sRGB in the color space dropdown before downloading.
-
Convert to PNG: Once you have your high-quality PDF, convert it to a 300 DPI Transparent PNG for upload to our builder.
Note on Neon & Extra-Bright Colors: Canva’s screen colors are "light-based." Because DTF utilizes physical ink, some extremely bright neon colors created in Canva may appear slightly more "muted" in print. For the most "bankable" color match, avoid using neon presets if a specific shade is critical to your brand.
